I grew up in the church and don’t recall too many periods of my life when I wasn’t connected to family and friends through the church. I accepted the Lord as my Savior during my elementary school days, and my desire to see others involved in the life of the church comes from the countless learning and growing opportunities I’ve enjoyed throughout my life within the church family.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes was a big part of my high school life in Colorado and I was blessed to be able to continue that combination of church and school when I attended Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington.
One of my roommates was from Tucson and I grew to love the desert Southwest during many road trips to the Old Pueblo. Soon after graduation, I arrived in Tucson and became active as one of the youth leaders to high school students and it is here that I met my wife, Camilla. Together we served in the youth group for several years. Later we became involved in a ministry serving young couples of the church through various activities and events designed to strengthen our ties as a couple while also attempting to bring glory to God in all that we did in and around the church.
What was originally planned as a short stay in Tucson has been a blessing of nearly 23 years of marriage and four wonderful children ages 15 -20. We are grateful for all that the Lord has entrusted to us through our family. Thankfully we have the Lord as our foundation along with the encouragement and support of our extended church family.
Over the past 15 or so years it has been a passion of ours to serve the Lord as a family. We attend church together, we seek family-based service projects and spend a considerable amount of our time attending one another’s functions and faith-based activities as well as sporting events.
Living Hope is a blessing to our entire family and it is our hope to serve God through family events for the glory of His church.
