(May) Connections Event – “Summer Kick-off Party”
Summer is nearing; graduations and graduation parties are in full swing. So, this month was the Connections Summer Kick-off Pool Party at the Krabbendams. There was swimming, plenty of good food, yummy ice cream, and we finished off the evening with several rounds of ‘Dance-off’ on the Wii. At one point there were four guys (and I mean guys-guys) playing Dance-off while all the youth watched (and laughed). It was an touching moment for all the parents, though, because we saw our young kids watching the young adults set an profound example of fun and participation. We want to send a special thank you to all the young adults who come to the Connections Events – for bringing your smiles, high spirits, and sense of fun and adventure – Connections wouldn’t be the same without you.
