2010 Caroling Hayride & Potluck

The Friday before Christmas, we met at the Krabbendam’s for a Christmas Caroling Hayride through their neighborhood. We piled into a wagon loaded with bales of straw and crept along the streets lit with Christmas lights; we caroled and present neighbors with a candy cane invitation to our Living Hope Christmas Eve service. The kids had a blast delivering the candy canes, while the majority of the adults decided their presence was most needed in the wagon, huddled together for warmth, leading the singing of the carols.

After carolling, we all headed back to the house for a potluck dinner. (Ok, so we’ve learned when we say “potluck” we have to be more specific about who’s bringing what because we ended up with all deserts – which made the kids very happy. So we ordered pizza :) After dinner, we celebrated a very special anniversary – congrats Bill and Sharon – and stuffed ourselves with sweets, played games, and enjoyed the fellowship with friends.

If you missed this event, be sure to mark your calendars now and join us for the 2011 Caroling Hayride and Potluck!!
